SNOW!!

To me one of the very best things about christmas is the fact that snow is involved! I love snow! I really truly believe that there is nothing more magical than the first snow of the season. Here in southern Indiana we have already had our first snow and snow day which is always like a small blessing! I enjoy having an unexpected day off and time just to relax and enjoy my time! I always spend the whole day relaxing in my warm bed and reading! 

Today I want to share a book that looks at the magic of snow! The book is called Snow by Uri Shulevitz. The story is about a child living in a city where it is just beginning to snow. It shows how some adults see snow as a mess and no good. Then it looks at the boy and how he sees it as so so magical! I am right there with him.

This is a great book to read if you are going to have students write about snow. I think that is also a fun book to read to you class on the first snow or the first day of winter. Really its just a great little books and one of my favorite in my library!
