I love a good Fairy Tale with a christmas twist

If there is anything in life that I love it is a good fairy tale retelling! While one of my favorite is Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs but my love Mo Willems, this new book may be another favorite.

Santa Claus and the Three Polar Bears is a fun story that is much like Goldilocks. The bears are decorating for Christmas and they make Christmas pudding. It is too hot to eat so that decide that they should go for a walk and give it sometime too cool down. While they arrive Santa come in and eats the pudding, breaks a chair, and sleeps in baby bears bed. The bears are shocked when they find Santa in bed because he has made such a large mess.

I love the story that is being told in this book. I also love the Illustrations. They remind me a lot of something that Jan Brett would do. They have a similar way of sweeping you up and wanting to truly be part of the story!

I think it would be fun to have the students write a story about what would happen if Santa did this to them. I know if I had a chance to meet Santa I would just be pretty happy!
Have you read this story? Do you love it!? I would love to hear from you!
Happy Holidays!
