Top Ten Reads for Summer Reading

Today Kate DiCamillo announced what books she will be reading this summer and I thought that was a great idea. During the school year it is so hard for me to read books that I really want to read. I am picking ten books that I really want to read this summer and hopefully I will be able to read a few more.

1. The Year of Billy Miller  by Kevin Henkes
( I am reading this for Ramona Recommends book club this month)

2.      Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan

3.      The One and Only by Emily Griffin

4.      Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren

5.      Doll Bones by Holly Black

6.      Hollow City by Ransom Riggs

7.      We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

8.      The Meaning of Maggie by Megan Jean Sovern

( I read about this book on College Prepsters blog and I have been excited to read it ever since)

9.      The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson

10.  Here and Now by Ann Brashares

I am so excited for the reading adventure ahead and sharing it with all of you. I love the fun mix of story and genres. Do you have any fun reading plans for the summer? Do your kids? I would to hear about some of your summer reads.
Ms. Cara
